So I bought a copy of ‘No End In Sight’ from Nordic Weasel Games in their recent sale – bargain.

Had no fixed idea what I was going to use them with but think probably 15mm or 10mm in the longer run. For the immediate period I had some 6mm H&R Modern insurgents and some, I think WWII, British infantry.

These are going to stand in for early 1970sPIRA and Brits.

A few splashes of paint and some very rapid terrain production over the weekend led to this:

I haven’t played a proper game yet, I’ve just been pushing the figures around to get a feel of how bits of the game work. I’m probably going to tinker a little to suit the very low level nature of the conflict – obviously no artillery (at least on the Brit side!) but helicopters may make an entry later. At some stage I’d like to try a more urban combat – Belfast around the lower Falls and Divis, maybe the Ardoyne, perhaps London/Derry.

For the moment it's going to be South Armagh, East Tyrone.
